Black Beans
What You Need
2 pounds of Black Beans (hard in the bag) (rinsed, cleaned up, soaked in water for 4 hours or overnight)
7 Garlic Cloves
1 1/2 Onions
1 tablespoon of salt
1/4 cup of Cilantro, chopped
What To Do
-Rinse and take out any rocks or debris in beans
-Cover beans with water and let soak for 4 hours our overnight
-Add beans to 8 cups of water and garlic and onion (cut in half) and bring to boil. Once at boil, lower to simmer and cover for 1 hour to 90 minutes until beans are soft.
-Remove from heat, take out the garlic and onion and discard, add salt, cilantro, and season to taste.
Pour over chicken, smash in food processor and spread on tortilla or tostada, add to eggs and tortilla for breakfast burrito.
